Lost Dog Wash Trail to Sunrise Peak is a moderate trail in Scottsdale and very popular among the locals. The trailhead starts at the street end of the middle school and offers interpretive trail to the visitors and students about the desert scapes. The Sunrise Summit is at the elevation of 3069^ feet. But for the last 0.5 mile to the summit, the hike is very moderate, could even say easy, to the hikers.
During spring, this trail floor will be covered with lupines and poppies.
