Join us in our new series exploring north east of Tanzania and hiking Mount Kilimanjaro. This is our first time visiting a new continent.
Materuni Waterfalls is one of the tallest in the area, spewing crystal clear glacier water 70m into its basin. Some call it “Mware Waterfall” & it is one of the Waterfalls in the Mware River. It is found in the village of Materuni on the edge of the Kilimanjaro mountain reserve. The beautiful trail leading to Materuni Waterfall is located 2500m above sea level and it takes about 45 minutes to hike to the waterfall landing.
It is a day trip to Materuni Waterfalls, 15 km north of Moshi Town, Tanzania which involves hiking traversing thru valleys and hills covered by tropical rainforest, & coffee, banana, and avocado farms.
