A very easy 0.5 mile friendly trail accessible to the people with strollers & wheelchairs takes approximately 15-20 minutes to hike. There are a few ground rules to be obeyed on the trail such as no smoking, no dogs, no alcohol and no skateboarding since this is a wooden trail.
A beautiful wooden ramp will take you to the equatorial sundial “Homage to La Ballona Creek” which is at the top of hill. Homage to La Ballona Creek is a large sundial positioned at 32 degrees, the latitude at which Culver City is located. Artist Lucy Blake-Elahi, (assisted by 6th grade students from Echo Horizon School), created colorful tiles that include references to animals and vegetation that once inhabited the area.
